Board meeting notes, 5/16/2020, minutes to be posted before the Fall meeting
The NPEA Board are planning a COVID meeting at the pool on 10/26/20 at 7 PM. The general meeting is planned with COVID restruictions on 11/16/20 at the Newington cafatera. The agenda will be short as we have little to go over. Pool did fine this year. We might talk about mail boxes, issues with covenants and some neighbors who have issues. Let me know if any other issues.
Overview:
A one-pager (front and back) that gives an overview of annexation into the Town, including the process and a description of the benefits.
A sample spreadsheet showing how the property taxes on a $200,000 owner-occupied home would be affected by annexing into the Town vs. remaining in unincorporated Dorchester County. For a home at that value, the difference would likely be less than $350 per year, depending on what the property owner pays for trash collection.
